“ GOT PETS ” this is a Must See Collection. Truly is the largest assortment of designs, From Traditional to Craftsman, and everything in between. We put together some 30 designs that will enhance your life style. These innovative screen and storm doors have a built in wooden dog door flap, which blends in with the door, unlike the plastic flaps commonly used. The flaps swing both ways, and are magnetized, so it will stop swinging after the dog goes through. A slide bolt lock is included, so you can lock the flap for security or when you don't want the dog to go in or out. They can also be made smaller for cats. | ||
* Height of bottom panel will vary depending on the size of the flap size.

Kinda disappointed
Posted by Sherry Stephens on 19th Jun 2019
I had to look all over for a wooden door that was screened and had a doggie door. Was thrilled when I found this, and Lou was a real doll assisting me on the phone. I really wanted to give it 5 *s, but there were too many things that just didn't work for me. Indeed, the door was well-made. However, Lou suggested I get the large size doggie opening. Bad idea. It's way too heavy for my little 18-pound dog to go through without it hitting her on the back so she won't use it. It's so heavy that I don't even know if a smaller doggie opening would have worked. A translucent plastic opening, while maybe not as aesthetically pleasing, would have been lighter and much better. (My pooch has used that type of door before with no problems.)
The Better Vue screening is quite nice (in fact, it's what I used to screen in my porch). But, it is set into a groove in the opening that makes it impossible to do a decent paint job. In other words, I can see raw wood where the screen is set in and where a paint brush simply can't go. It would have been nice if there were wood trim all around where the screen was set in to prevent the resulting unsightliness.
I didn't see the slide bolt that was supposed to be included, but perhaps overlooked it -
Great Product

I am very happy with my D801 Dog Door, I have 6 very active dogs that love to come in and out all day. I am very happy that we have the ability to lock the flap up at night. The door is super strong and made from solid wood no finger joint materials.
Thank you for the professional service and for answering our questions when we called. Nice to see that the owner answers the phone when customers call. -

I bought this door because I wanted a strong wooden door with a pet door to replace my white door. It is well made and hope it lasts a lot longer than my other door.
My only problem is the pet door is heavy because of the wood, and my dog , who is use to a plastic dog door, won't go through it!
